Beijing National Grand Theater Project

Beijing National Grand Theater is one of the new "Beijing Sixteen Scenics" landmark building. It is located on the west side of Tiananmen Square in the center of Beijing and on the west side of the Great Hall of the People. It consists of the main building, the underwater corridors on the north and south sides, underground parking lots, It is composed of artificial lake and green space. The main building of the project is 105,000 square meters, the underground auxiliary facilities are 60,000 square meters, and the total cost is 3.067 billion yuan.

The design concept of the artificial lake water area comes from the Beijing water system. The pool adopts a water circulation system to remove turbidity. It does not freeze in winter and does not grow algae in summer. The main building is surrounded by an artificial lake with an area of 35,500 square meters. The artificial lake has a depth of 40 cm. The entire pool is divided into 22 grids. The divided grid design is not only convenient for maintenance, but also saves water and is also beneficial to safety. Each grid is relatively independent, but maintains overall consistency in appearance.
